Welcome  to Columbia Sixth Grade Academy (C6GA) and to our website. Our goal is to provide a "one-stop shop" for information of interest to our students, parents, and teachers. We are excited for the upcoming year! Our sixth grade "academicians" will be Living, Learning, and Leading each day here at C6GA, where everyone, adults and children alike, pledge to be Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn.

The end of the ) current grading period (G2) is 12/19/17 Report cards will be issued on January 11th. 

Robotics - Our competition season will begin on December 2nd in Anderson, with other competitions to be held January 13, 2018 in Bremen and February 10, 2018 in Crawfordsville. 

VEX IQ, a program that offers competition robotics from elementary through college, requires students to build a robot to exacting specifications and then compete in team, skills, and programming challenges with other schools.  
C6GA Robotics Club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school and weekly on Friday during WIN to prepare for our competitions. 


Popcorn Days have been added for students this year. Typically, these are the last Friday of the month, and are announced a week ahead of time. Popcorn is 25 cents per bag.  (dates are subject to change)  


The Winter Dance will be held on December 15th from 5-7 pm in the gymnasium. The cost is $5 per student. Please contact us if you would like to chaperone this event.

AthleticsBoys' Basketball is in full swing. Wrestling and Girls' Basketball will be starting after Christmas Break. All athletes must have a physical on file to try out and participate. Physical forms can be picked on the office counter. Check the Athletic Calendar for dates and times of events.

  • Holiday Choral Concert in Dec. 7th, 7 pm at McHale
  • Popcorn Day Dec. 8th  

  • Holiday Band Concert is December 10th, 2 pm at McHale PAC 

  • Winter Dance will be held December 15th from 5-7 pm in the gymnasium
  • Christmas Break is December 20th through January 3rd. Students' first day back is January 4th. 

  • No School on February 16th and 20th in observation of President’s Day
